Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, the daughter of a musician born in Mexico, was born to an adored family of musicians. She was raised listening to traditional and old boleros, along with the traditional songs of romantics and ranchero. Ana is a fan of tangos, as well as the dramatic and opera performances. Ana began to learn how to sing and play music at an early age with her mother. She was given more formal singing instruction when she reached the age of 16 old under the famous Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. Her musical education continued at the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and afterwards to the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. When she was a student, and a young professional, she was a part of many chamber groups and opera choirs in Guadalajara and Mexico City. After 2000, she emigrated to America. United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. In 2007 she moved to her new home in Southern California. She performs solo Latin American music for private events and also as part of Ensemble XXI in Redlands. Alongside being an active performer as well as an instructor, her love of music and art keeps her active in a variety of different projects. Ana was also a member of the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is now a teacher of the Performance Loft. Ana hopes that with her performance her love of Latin American traditional songs, to instill a passion, particularly among the younger generation in keeping the music in the present.
